Vivek began his career 9 years ago as a freelancer dabbling in all the various segments of 3d animation. He has worked with Rhythm and Hues as a Senior Digital Artist for a few years before moving on to the Dreamworks Dedicated Unit as a Modeling Lead, where he wore multiple hats and moved between many departments during his tenure. He currently works as an independent animation consultant, again playing the role of VFX Supervisor, Designer or Art Director on both feature and game projects for a variety of studios and production houses. Creative Producer / Animation Director / Advisor and Mentor, Ranjit provides an effective bridge between the creative and technical aspects of animation production, planning, strategy and implementation. His work has been nominated and awarded by IAAFA, CAG Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta Ad-Clubs for best animation and special effects. He has been a jury member for many awards including the prestigious FICCI BAF Awards. He has been honored with the Movers and Shakers of the animation industry award by MAAC 24fps 2007. Over a 20-year career span, he has worked on animation projects that involve 2d / 3d animation, live action, creative production, direction, digital compositing and special effects for TV and Video, Art direction for creation of game assets for PC consoles, Web and CD content, including corporate films and presentations. He has worked as a ‘Project Director –International Projects’ at Maya Entertainment Limited Mumbai, for their series production for Zoo Group Inc. / Ragdoll UK which is currently being telecast by the BBC.

Ranjit has written and presented a white paper on industry relevant training in animation and his article on Poaching in the Animation industry has also been published by a leading magazine. He actively participates in training and student orientation programs for animation including mentoring students and faculty of various Indian training institutions. He has been a guest speaker at FTII Pune as well as at various institutions in India. He is a Consulting Program Director for The Ontario College Graduate Certificate Program jointly offered in India by Seneca College of Applied Art & Technology, Canada and Frameboxx Animation Visual Effects India and was one of the key facilitators of the agreement in India. He has moderated panel discussions on various subjects including game development, visual effects and animation in cinema at international seminars. He has over 5 years experience as an advisor in the field of productivity improvement and animation-studio management, and has helped in the design and implementation of production pipelines and efficient systems at various organisations. Ranjit holds a degree in commerce and an Advanced Diploma in Software Applications and Management.

Vaibhav Kumaresh

Vaibhav Kumaresh is an animation film maker and is currently Director, Vaibhav Studios, Mumbai. The studio has created some of India’s favourite animated content including the Amaron Battery commercials, Buladi’s AIDS awareness campaign for the West Bengal govt, Sagar Cement commercials for the Andhra market and Simpoo the angry Sardaar math teacher on Channel [V] to name a few.

A Fine Arts graduate, Vaibhav studied animation film making at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.  Vaibhav is an active committee member and Jt. Secy of TASI: The Animation Society of India. He also teaches animation and is a visiting faculty at various animation schools across India.
